A clear declaration: Reference to black churches in regards to economic endeavors in the black community intends to include the members of black churches in not for profit endeavors. Endeavors of for profit interests will recruit church members away from their respective church ties and merely as community residents so as not to disturb tax exempt status of churches.

The first Black Churches-Black Communties Economic Summit was held on Chicago's south this past Thursday evening. We opened with prayer and a call to lift up prayer for Dr. Royce Cornelius who is ill, but wanted sent his regards to the forum to be encouraged. I will share my opening words with you to the forum, paraphrasing:
" ...It does not matter matter if I speak eloquently this evening or if I stumble over my words. It does not matter if there are many in attendance tonight or a few. What is important is that we are here to begin the serious discussion of how to dislodge the economic and social dysfunction in black communties across the nation, that is also affecting the spiritual involvement of black community members..." Placing black churches in a leadership role in black communities was also stressed, and is the darling of this agenda, for church influence is crucial in social, economic, and civic matters as they relate to the black community.
It was important that we had the first summit, which was more like a meeting under our belts, and the aftermath of opinions from those in attendance regarding the worthiness of the forum. All in attendance with the exception of one who had to leave near the end of the meeting, offered opinions and thoughts of the endeavor which seemed to endorse the concept and purpose of the endeavor.
The chosen theme for the first summit " Can Anything Good Come Out Of Nazareth?" and the oral presentation of the theme, drew upon the ancient biblical city in northwest Judea as being the location of no notable significance, yet, the same city in which Jesus was raised. The purposeful choosing of this theme was meant to suggest a strong correlation between ancient insignificant Nazareth, and the current high crime, high unemployment cities in America ( and elswhere).
There are some people, as was pointed out by the forum speaker, that may suggest that the correlation between ancient and unknown Nazareth, and huge, well known cities, like New Orleans, Chicago, Detroit, and Chicago, etc, might be questionable or somewhat misplaced. I will address what might seem to be some inconsistency with the chosen theme, and the proposed correlation to problem areas in America and beyond its borders with the closing words spoken at the forum on this viewed similarity ( or dissimilarity), paraphrasing:
"I suggest to you that “Nazareth” exists in other places of the world today, in spite of their size and high visibility. It is when huge cities with huge problems are not viewed as worthy, and "Nazareth" is you and I. It is when those among us feel isolated, forgotten, alone, and insignificant. Nazareth then becomes our own fact, our own reality, our here and now.
And yet, as GOD took a small out of the way, unimportant location in ancient Judea, and made it the home for a time for our Savior, God has placed in us the greatness of becoming HIS sons and daughters if we submit to HIM and look upon others in a light that would favor HIM looking upon us. Yes, there was something good coming out of ancient Nazareth in the person of our Savior, that also opened the door so that good can come out Detroit, New Orleans, and Chicago, Houston, etc., and out of us".
Note***The scheduled programming for the meeting will be found in the book donated to serve as a perpetual funding source for U.S. black communities; "Testimonies, Viewpoints, and Stories Book 1; A Deliverance Series".
We need a funding source ( gofundme ,etc. for the following. (So far all travel expenses, gas, written works, public trans. expenses, etc. has been funded by me.
1. We need a professional business plan. Cost abouta $3-5 thousand dollars.(?)
2. Money for creation of 501 c3 not for profits, perhaps two or i.e., WAVE, MANNA, and “ The Triune” of United Black Churches, Black Men, and Black Women.
3. Eventually we will need money to incorporate one for profit corporation to placed on the stock market.
